Mailbox Posts and Paint Color Supplemental Guideline
Mailbox Post Paint Colors:
The paint and colors originally used came from Benjamin Moore and were an exterior latex paint. These colors have been discontinued however and are no longer available. For your convenience, the primary grey color and dark blue for the numbers were analyzed and converted to codes that may be obtained from any Home Depot.
You may print this attachment and take it to any Home Depot location to have the paint mixed. The codes are for a gallon of each however the paint department can convert these codes and mix a quart or any quantity you require.
The current Twin Lakes mailbox posts were installed by the developer and manufactured by Creative Mailbox & Sign Designs in Tampa.Effective June 1, 2009, they ceased manufacturing any replacement wooden mailbox posts and no longer offered a replacement post matching Twin Lake’s original design.
There have been several attempts at duplicating the custom mailbox post all Twin Lakes residents are required to use in wood, however, nobody that has done it consistently.
At that point, the Twin Lakes management company attempted to find other manufacturers who would build these replacement posts without success.Since it is a requirement for all Twin Lakes residents to use the same post design and there wasn’t anybody available to make these posts, the former owner of Communities of America, Inc. started a company called Concrete Replicas to offer Twin Lakes residents an option.Twin Lakes residents are not required to use Concrete Replicas and can source their mailbox posts anywhere they choose, so long as they match the style of the original developers post.
Concrete Replicas offer a matching post manufactured out of lightweight concrete to replace the original wood posts. The benefits of using concrete is that they are less expensive than the wood replacement posts previously offered, they do not rot like wood and are expected to last longer than the old style wood posts. Please be aware though that even concrete mailbox posts cannot withstand the weekly contact with landscape line-trimmers (weed whackers), caution is always recommended.
The specifics on a Concrete Replicas replacement post:
·Single post delivered without paint$ 345.00 plus tax ·Double post delivered without paint$ 425.00 plus tax ·Installation (includes painting)$85.00 plus tax ·Address plaques(per side if needed)$17.00 plus tax
If Concrete Replicas installs your post, they will paint it the approved colors, move your mailbox(s) from the old post to the new post and dispose of the old post without charge. The address plaques must also be moved from the old post to the new post, however, they do sometimes break during removal and need to be replaced. The homeowner is responsible for removing the address plaques from the old post and then Concrete Replicas will include the reinstallation on the new post free of charge, if you have purchased installation.
SAVE 10% - If five or more residents purchase posts together at the same time, Concrete Replicas will deduct 10% off of the price of the posts and plaques.Any combination of singles, doubles, and installations is fine.(Payments must all be made together at the time of the order). To place an order, please contact Concrete Replicas via email at rick@thefloridasolutionsgroup.com and please put “Mailbox Post” in the subject line.
